The training takes place over several days in 4 modules. One module deals with ketology, another with marine mammal observation, a module for discovering careers in the sea with testimonials from professionals, and a module for observation at sea.

CETOLOGY

Cetology is the branch of zoology that deals with cetaceans, i.e. whales, dolphins, sperm whales, porpoises and orcas. It covers a wide range of subjects, including the evolution of cetaceans, their distribution, morphology, and group and individual behaviors.

MARINE MAMMAL OBSERVATION TRAINING

During field trips from land, youngsters are trained to observe marine mammals: identify the different species and their behaviors, and observe the horizon for the presence of cetaceans (with or without binoculars).

DISCOVERING ENVIRONMENTAL PROFESSIONS

Through meetings with various professionals in the environmental field, young people gain a more realistic view of environmental professions and become aware of the skills required to work in the field. They also learn about possible training paths in the field, whatever their starting point.
